        There are many government exams that are conducted after graduation in India. Here is a list of some of the more popular exams that are commonly taken by graduates:

1. SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam (SSC CGL)

            The SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam, also known as SSC CGL, is a competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in India. It is a graduate level exam open to candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree. The exam is conducted to fill various non-gazetted posts in various government departments and ministries.

2. UPSC Civil Service Exam (IAS Exam)

               The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Exam, also known as the IAS Exam, is a highly competitive and prestigious examination in India. It is held annually to select candidates for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), among other civil services.

The exam consists of three stages:

  1. The preliminary examination (also known as the Civil Services Aptitude Test or CSAT) which is a screening test to shortlist candidates for the main examination.

  2. The main examination which is a written test and consists of nine papers, including essay writing, general studies, and optional subjects.

  3. The interview or the Personality Test, which is the final stage of the selection process.

The preliminary examination is usually held in the month of June and the main examination is held in the month of September. The interview is usually held in the month of February the following year.

3. UPSC Combined Defence Services Exam (CDS)

            The UPSC Combined Defence Services Exam, also known as the CDS Exam, is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in India. The exam is held twice a year, usually in the months of February and November, to recruit candidates for the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Indian Air Force Academy.

The exam consists of two stages:

  1. Written Examination: The written examination is an objective type test and consists of three papers - English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics.

  2. Interview: The successful candidates of the written examination are required to appear for an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB)


4. Central Armed Police Forces Exam (CAPF Assistant Commandant)

        The Central Armed Police Forces Exam, also known as the CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam, is an opportunity for graduates to secure a job in one of the prestigious Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) such as Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
