SSC CHSL Exam Pattern and Syllabus

What is SSC CHSL? 

SSC CHSL is a national level examination conducted by SSC every year. CHSL Exam is conducted in order to recruit the following Post in the different ministries and department of government.

  1. Postal Assistant (PA)
  2. Data Entry Operator ( DEO)
  3. Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) 
  4. Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)
  5. DEO( Grade A)
  6. Sorting Assistant (SA).



SSC CHSL PATTERN

Before getting into further detail of Syllabus of the SSC CHSL let us first discuss about the Pattern of the exam.
This article deals with the main topic which are covered in the National level exam.


The outline of the SSC CHSL PATTERN is 
  1. TIER I:- Computer Based Exam ( CBT)
  2. TIER II:- Descriptive Paper
  3. TIER III:- Typing Test.


SSC CHSL SYLLABUS

Syllabus of the SSC CHSL Is almost same as the SSC CGL.  The breif detail of the syllabus of SSC CHSL.


TIER I SYLLABUS:-
 
General Intelligence:- General Intelligence is one of the important topic of SSC CHSL the topic contains the following:-
  • Alphanumeric series 
  • Coding / decoding
  • Ranking /alphabetic test 
  • Logical reasoning.
English :-The syllabus of English is as following:-
  • Para jumble 
  • Reading comprehension 
  • Cloze test.
Quantitative aptitude:- quantitative aptitude is included in order to check the basic knowledge of the candidate about the mathematics . The syllabus of this topic is basic level maths till class 10th. Some of the important topics are as follow:-
  • simple interest and compound interest
  • profit loss 
  • permutation and combination 
  • probability 
  • relation between number 
  •  Computation of whole number, decimal and fraction
  • surds and indices.
General awareness:- General awareness is included in order to check the the candidates knowledge about its country culture and the current affairs going on the main topics of this are are:-
  • History 
  • Culture 
  • Geography 
  • Polity.

TIER II SYLLABUS:-

Tier 2 is a descriptive paper.this is introduced in order to check the writing skill of the candidate the candidate who have passed the one paper is allowed to sit in Tier 2.
Tier 2 includes following:-
  • Essay writing 
  • Application 
  • Letter writing 
  • Comprehensions.


TIER III SYLLABUS:- Tier III is basically a typing test those who have cleared both the tiers are allowed to pursue this test.
The details of typing test is as follows:-

IMPORTANT POINT:-
  • 0.50 negative marking for each wrong answer.
  • Tier I paper is objective paper with multiple choice questions.
  • Paper will be in Hindi and English language
  • The maximum marks to clear Tier II paper is 33 percentage.

SBI Clerk Mains 2020: Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk Mains : Conducting Body: SBI. Mode of Examination: Online. Timings: Separate timings are associated to each section.
